SUNDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2017 - 2nd Sunday of Advent

2017 THEME: “TAKING IT TO THE MAX!”

SCRIPTURE:
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
–Romans 5:8, New International Version (NIV)

MISSION STATEMENT: It is the mission of St. John to be a beacon of faith and transforming presence in the lives of individuals in the community we serve and in the wider world around us.

FROM THE PASTOR'S DESK . . .

Celebrating 155 years in Christian Ministry!

4th Quarter Connectional (General Budget) of $50 each member is due!!!

Attention Ambassadors and other Ministry Leaders - Since we are not having fulfillment hour during this advent season this will be a wonderful time to gather your groups and meet for breakfast in the Cafe. There is sufficient enough time to fellowship with each other as well as to get to know each other better. This is also a good time to get together for prayer or meditation if you choose not to have breakfast.

Facilitators are needed for Fulfillment hour for the following dates.

2/18/2018 - 3/11/2018
5/20/2018 - 6/24/2018

Please consider volunteering. If you have already served as a facilitator you may certainly serve again.

Come Home for Christmas is scheduled for Sunday, December 17, 2017. We are going to have a glorious worship and I am praying that each of us make a special effort to invite someone to share in this worship experience. Especially invite those inactive members of our faith community. A reception will be held in Fellowship hall immediately following service.
