St. John is a growing, vibrant and wonderful congregation that still desires to remain, “The Church at the Caring End of Ministry.” As Pastor, I would ask that you direct your concerns regarding the following requests to the person(s) listed below:

  • Counseling – TBA
  • Sick and Hospitalized – Call your Pastor, The Rev. Jesse Hawkins. I always see parishioners who are hospitalized.
  • Death – Call your pastor.
  • Meeting Space RequestsPlease contact the office, or download a copy of the Meeting Room Request Form.
  • Weddings – Call your Pastor.
  • Sick and Shut-In; Need CommunionPlease contact the office.

Thank you for your cooperation, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to give me a call. All of these protocol procedures will soon be published in our Membership and Policy Handbook.

From the Pastor's Desk . . .

Christmas in July - All boxes should be filled and returned – Thank you for your overwhelming generosity. 

City of Aurora Back to School Bash @ Martin Luther King Park begins at 1 p.m., this Sunday, August 19th - Please consider representing Cathedral of Grace | St. John as a volunteer to assist with passing out the school supplies.

Undershepherd Meeting ** Change in time and date** will be held on Monday, August 21st at 6 p.m. prior to the Quarterly Conference meeting.

Leadership – The 3rd Quarterly Conference meeting on Monday, August 20th at 7 p.m. All officers should plan to be in attendance. Quarterly conference reports are due and should reflect the period of May 1, 2018 - July  31, 2018. All reports should be turned in to the office.

Steward Board Meeting will be held on Saturday, September 8th at 9:30 a.m.

Trustee Board Meeting will be held on Saturday, September 8th at 11 a.m.

The 136th Session of the Chicago Annual Conference will be held September 25-29, 2018 at St. Mark AME in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
